Aetna Long Term Disability Greenwood Indiana Review

You have my sympathy. In August of 2003 I left work due to Multiple Sclerosis. Initially, my claims fell under short term disability, and everything was fine. The minute I fell under long term, trouble started. They wanted independent physician reviews, psychological evaluations, work studies, etc. I participated in each and every request, and would receive an approval for 30 days, then would have to go through the review process all over again. nDuring this time, I also applied for Social Security Disability and was approved for benefits. Aetna still refused to certify me. I went 6 months without a check from Aetna. For 3 years this recertification game continued. I persevered and now, after 3 years of their nonsense, I have been certified for a year. However, in 12 months I’ll have to be reviewed again. nGood luck. They are absolutely heartless and will do whatever they need to do to hang onto “their”” money as long as they can. nPattynGreenwood
