David W. Wimberley, M.D., P.A. Beaumont Texas Review

On 11/17/09. After sitting in the waiting room over 2 hours for my appointment. Dr. Wimberley of the Fondren Orthopedic Group didn’t even spend 5 minutes looking at me or the prior MRI, CAT Scans & X-rays (going back to 2005) his staff had me bring. All Wimberley said was I was on to much pain medication and that I needed to get an epidural steroid injection. He then referred me to the Kirby Surgical Center just down the street from his office.Because I had this same type of injection in 03/2005 I told him that I did not want this procedure. It gave me Diabetes (hereditary) 10 -20 years earlier than anyone else in my family. But Wimberly would not listen to me. He told me pretty much that getting the shot was the only option he would give me. Even though 3 prior Neurosurgeons and other misc kinds of Dr.’s had told me otherwise.I was only going to him because, of the prior surgeons. 1 had left the area. Another died. Another was “in bed”” with my

then

pain management Dr. and I had caught him steeling from me and my insurance so he lost the only reference I trusted at the time. But Wimberlys treatment of me has turned out to be the worst of them all.I now have Diabetic Neuropathology in my left hand. And because I knew it would cause my diabetes to flare up and slow down my healing I’ve waited longer than the 2 weeks that Wimberley told me to wait. And even now I’m still able to lift anything heavy (over 20 lb).Just moving around. IE

getting up and moving from room to room. Leaning over. Standing for 10+ minutes. Walking around my office building. Using my inversion table. Etc. When I do any of these things often. Any more often than before I got the shot. The area that the shots are at swells up. Becomes tender to the touch. And hurts to the point that even leaning back in a lumbar support chair at my office desk hurts. Often for days. And since the shot I have been getting even less sleep than before. I have been taking Ambien CR before getting the shot. And it is not longer helping get me get any meaningful sleep. I only average 4 hours a night now.Because Dr. Wimberley would not listen to me. Could care less that I have more than 15 years dealing with this and he had less than 5 minutes. He thought he was God and knew me better than I did.He didn’t even give me the chance to finish tucking my shirt in before he was out the door barking orders to his staff.Do yourself a favor and never use Dr. Wimberly. He’s to busy to care and treats his patients like they are a burden and not his concern. There is not enough money or time in the world that would make me ever consider going back to him!”
