Eddie’s transmission pratt Kansas

Complaint: I called Eddie’s transmission to do transmission job on my son’s car. After checking on a few problem’s with the factory transmission I found out a few details to help cure the problem. One was to us synthetic oil and the other was to install a trans. cooler. I had Eddie’s employee price the complete job. Rebuild the trans. install a trans. cooler with the job. I live 80 miles away and don’t need to be running back and forth to a repair shop that you put faith in doing the job right the first time. After returning home from Wichata the car started acting up. I called them and the foreman Don was very nice. We drove the car for a couple of days and it seemed to be doing better so we though we’d see if it would do OK. After looking a little closer at the car I noticed a lot of missing and loss parts. I did the work myself and just didn’t complain. I did talk to Don however about the tranmission cooler not being installed and he said anytime that I was back up there to stop in and they would take care of it.As with a lot of people that haft to work and earn an ounist living I stay very busy and time just gets away.A few months gone by 10 to be exact and my son is off to college in another part of the state. Very busy of course so I thought I’d try to work something out with them since the job should have been done right the first time.I called the owner Eddie to see if I could either prolong the repairs of maybe he’d reimburse me for the neglected repair.He was very rude about it. Said he wouldn’t do anything because they failed to put it on a repair order and if the repair and installment of an oil cooler was to be done it would be written down and so I would haft to pay another $250 to have it installed. He said he’s not used to doing welfare jobs. IN OTHER WORD’S I just stuck it to you. I have witnesses to the conversation. Not a good bossiness man. I am a full time mechanic on big equipment and larger vehicles. I now a ripoff artist when I see one and Eddie needs to be tough a lesson in better customer relations. I have done mechanic work for companies and the public for almost 30 yrs and have never been treated so LOW. P.S. If only I could take care of things the old fashion way I would probably teach him a lesson. The way he talked to me you would think he was some trying to make me fill guilty for bothering him. What a jerk.
