Complaint: Sent in claim in March with all explanations. Gave them considerable time to evaluate and make decision (Mar. to July 2008). Called repeatedly and was given run around about it still being in review. Call to “Tim”” revealed that they would be paying claim but he didn’t know how much – call back in 6-10 days. Called back to Supervisor twice – told it was denied. Asked them to review the phone taping of last conversation with Tim. I then asked for letter of explanation stating they never paid claims that were not pre-authorized as this was our “”problem””. Asked for dates of denial and why it took so long. Wanted names of denial board. Tony at extension 62778 said he would send a letter
