Complaint: Currently going round and round with the dealer and corporate about a 5 rear old tent trailer that Fleetwood/Coleman built. A bad weld from the factory (one weld had oxidation behind it that looked 3-4 years old – it may even have had contamination present when it was welded) on the lift system has caused a failure in an “advertised”” lifetime lift warranty. To the dealer/corporate rep they are stating repeatedly that the lifetime warranty only applies to the original owner – as I am the second owner (first owner bought another Fleetwood product) prior to this I owned a Starcraft tent trailer for 15 years – the lift system never failed! This is something very rare and as a weld inspector for an aerospace company I can tell you this was bad long before I purchased it – will update this story a little more as I get more info……..To date: 3 e-mails to corporate
