Complaint: I was called by two of your employees stating I was approved for a car. I asked both of them do I have to put anything down or have a co-signer they both told me all I had to do is pick a car and talk to financing. I have been trying to purchase a car for a few months now and I did not want to go through the run around again. I walked into your dealership on February 25th and was greeted by Edwin Holmes. I asked for Erica and he came back and said for him to take care of me. I then was told that they had to run my credit when heard that I said to Mr. Holmes they told me that I was already approved. He explained that they could not have ran my credit without my signature. I let them run my credit and he came back asking how much can I put down I explained to him I have nothing to put down because I was told that I did not need to put anything down. I was then asked if I had a co signer I said my husband but he would not be available until Monday February 27th Mr. Holmes said it was ok for me to sign on his behalf. I did and Mr. Holmes came back and said I was approved for $16,000 so I picked out a 2002 Land Rover. Mr. Feinstein I was in your establishment until after closing and I had gotten there at 3:30 pm. I was told that I could take the car that night and come back Monday February 27th with my husband to finalize the paperwork with financing, well needless to say that did not happen so we went up there for no reason. I transferred the insurance into my name on the car because they said I had to do it. I showed them the temp card they said they needed the binder. I called the next day to find out the status and they still had no answer. Mr. Holmes called and asked for a three-year work history on both on my husband and myself. We had given them the night before. Now I am getting upset because now I feel like they are giving me the run around. I called Mr. Holmes again at 5:30 pm and he said they are still working on it I said don’t bother just get my car ready and I will return the jeep. After saying that Mr. Holmes called me as I was pulling up to the dealership saying that the problem that they had was fixed and they finally got an approval. I told him that I will be back with my husband to sign the paperwork. When we got there my husband looked over the contract because he to was a car sales man. He gave me the paper work to sign. We finally went to talk to the manager and my husband looked at the loan agreement and he said no way. The payment was to high we are not taking the car the manager did not even try to work with us at all. He acted like we were a bother to him. So took the stuff out of the car and I was so mad and frustrated because I went thru all those changes. I was out of work for the next three days because I was so stressed that my blood pressure went through the roof and it caused me to have migraines. So I lost 3 days of pay over this mess. I called them on Wednesday March 1st and they had found my little black planner and some cd’s, later that day I called back to speak to the manager that I had dealt with the night before. I told him if he could send and application to my current loan company and he said flat out no then I asked for a copy of the sales slip so I can go through my credit union he told me that they are not going to approve me, after telling me that he asked what type of payments was I looking for I told him $350 He laugh and said that would never happen and we can’t help you I was very insulted and I hung up. My husband took me up there to get my stuff. The manager I spoke with told me that they did not have my stuff and I told him I spoke with someone that morning and they said they had it to come get it. The whole time this manager was arguing with me and then when he found my stuff he insulted me and embarrassed me in middle of the showroom floor. The sales people that were there looked at me like I was stupid. The next day the sales man Mr. Holmes called and I told him that I will not be entering that dealership again. He said don’t worry about the manager talk to me but I did not because I feel like if I walk back in there the people on the floor that was there will look at me funny. And that the manager all ready sabotaged me getting the car that I wanted God only knows what he would do if I tried again. I asked about my refund of the $200 I gave them they said it is going to take a couple of days I returned the car on February 28th I still have not gotten my money back I called accounting they said they did not have it so they sent me to Phil another manager and he said he would take care of it. I called today and it was still not done so the person I spoke with in accounting said she was going to go down to the floor and find my paper work and she would call me back in a hour that was at 9:30 am 2 hours later still no call I told her that I have been told this since I returned the car.
