Kwik Lube Franklin Park Illinois

Complaint: When we had the oil changed in our car at the Hanover Park Kwik Lube, we found days later (only through luckily observing a spot in the driveway of a friend’s house), that there was a problem. We had to take the car in to a mechanic that identified the problem as a loose drain plug from the oil change days earlier. As it turned out we caught this in time, but had we not, it would have resulted in a seized engine and a replacement cost in the thousands! When we went back to Kwik Lube to merely get compensated for the $27 we spent at the mechanic, we got the typical song and dance about how that could not have happened, and even if it did, they are not reimbursing us for anything. Both the manager Oscar, and the owner, Mike agree that they should not be responsible for this.I hope this alert helps people choose more wisely than we did as to where to get your car serviced. Avoid them. It’s bad enough they are incompetent, but they do not stand behind their work on top of it. Please pass it along, that’s the benefit of these sights, to help us all benefit from others’ experiences. It appears this will cost them substantially more than the $27 they could have paid to be an upstanding service provider.
