Looking for prompt get a no show

I contacted to set an appointment to transfer my files to a new computer. I was told their schedule was wide open and I could pick any time the day of the appointment and I scheduled for 12:00. I was further told the technician would call to confirm when he was enroute. He was a no-show and I cancelled the appointment at 12:30. I was told there would be a ”same day cancellation fee”–got to be kidding me, not happening. If a technician lacks the attention to detail call or show up on time, I certainly can’t trust with my files and data. Avoid.
