Mariner Finanace, LLC laurel Maryland Review

Yesterday, I was laid off my job. I unfortunately, don’t have as much money saved up as I should. So, I called Mariner Finance, a company I have a small personal loan for, to ask for an extension on my next payment. I owe around $700 of the loan. I spoke with the assistant manager named Ramona, she didn’t bother with the “I’m sorry to hear about your job”” she just went straight to “”we don’t do differed payments””. Seeing that I was not going to receive any help from her

I asked to speak with her manager

who’s name I was not given or didn’t hear if it was. She was equally as unprofessional and unhelpful. I even asked to speak with her supervisor Janine Smith (not sure how the first name was spelled) and she refused to give me Ms. Smith’s phone number saying “”it is our company policy that we do not give out our supervisor’s number.”” She offered to send her an e-mail asking her to contact me. I don’t expect to hear back from them. I also asked for a corporate office number she said that they don’t have a corporate office which after going to the Better Business Bureau’s website

I was able to get a corporate office phone number. So she lied to me about this. After all of this

she said I had paid enough so far to not have to make a payment until April. Why they couldn’t tell me that to begin with I don’t know. That information could have saved me from all this extra hassle they gave me! I would have actually been satisfied with that answer had they not been so unprofessional
