I was an original member of this gym. I opened my account back in Feb 2009 before the gym was neven open. I agreed to have my monthly payment charged to my credit card each month. After one year I was told that my contract was fulfilled and that I would then be charged month to month. I had some travel issues that made it difficult to get to the gym for 6-8 months, but I kept paying that monthly payment. Then I moved and it was very hard to get to the gym. I went in one day and told the guy at the counter that I would not be able to come to the gym any more because of the distance. I asked what I needed to do. He said, “well your on a month to month deal

so if you dont pay you cant come in””. Come to find out its now been three months and I get a call that I owe $80. This came as a surprise and I was confused as to why. I explained what the guy said and I was then informed that I had to send in a 30 day written letter to cancel. I told the woman on the phone I wished to cancel and she said they would cancel my membership as soon as I paid my $80 bill. I said

so you are going to keep charging me each month and make this amount even higher than it already is?”” She said
