Complaint: I ordered a offside front window mechanism for my Rover 416. It was sent out no problems and I paid for the part, vat and delivery using my debit card. It took a while for me to get round to getting the part fitted but on 14 February finally got round to it. After taking the broken part out of my car, it came to light that the part supplied was for the near side front. At this point the window was wedged with some wood as no point putting a broken part back in and I contacted the company and advised of the situation. They advised me they didnt have any other parts in and so if I returned the part to them the cheapest way possible they would refund all monies. On 16 February I returned the part which cost 8.24 so in total has cost 52.89 including there delivery charge and the part. I then on 22 February received a phone call from the company stating they had received the part and were not willing to refund for delivery costs or my cost to return there part as they had sent the correct part. I explained that the mechanic was unable to fit the part due to it being incorrect at which point the gentlemen became very abrupt and rude to which I explained there was no point talking to me about cars as I have not a clue about them I can only go by what a qualified mechanic has told me and by what I was told by there company when they rang. It is not 26 February and I have not receive a penny back so am 52.89 out of pocket and the part is with the company. They are most unproffesional when answering there phones as do not state the company name you need to ask if you are through to the correct place and take the name of the person you are talking to, I have been lead to beleive that good customer service you at least provide names!
