I know of several unhappy patients. In fact, several people have filed complaints with Insurance Companies and the Physical Therapy Board. Common sense tells you that Badt is unethical. Look at how many reports/complaints there are since 2008 on different issues and from different people. nThe real truth is in these reports, not the phony rebuttals posted which were more than likely by Polly herself. All rebuttals were posted on the same day. I’m sure there will be more complaints filed against her. nI have spent a lot of time researching this topic and hopefully I have encouraged people to check the charges with their Insurance Companies. Medical fraud needs to stop. We are paying higher insurance and medicare rates because of fraudulent greedy actions by medical providers. Polly is the perfect example of what is wrong with our system. Ripoff Scams: #387629 dated 11/3/08 Polly Badt – Body Rehab Center Overcharges Patients & Insurance Companies – very detailed and has to many statistics for it to be untrue. nRipoff Scams: #572925 dated 2/21/10 by Kathy Polly Badt – Body Rehab Center engage in Medical Billing Fraud – again to many statistics for it not to be true. Ripoff Scams #693596 dated 2/10/11 Body Rehab Center Polly Blue Cross Insurance Payments of $75 plus $60 (this is my rip off report) nI contacted the BBB and they told me Polly Badt removed my review. Why do you think that is. In her own words, read how she admits to ripping me off. Per her responses to me: (read full responses below) If I were to treat you for one hour at $75 I would not only not make any money but would lose alot of money. I am doing my best to find a way that I could still take blue cross patients and yet find a way to pay the bills and my therapists. rent is high, therapists are costly Blue cross last march, cut back its reimbursement by over 50%. They now will only pay a “maximum”” of $75. Billing is not simple
but basically $75 equates to 30 minutes. If I were to bill for 15 minutes
they would pay less than $75. If I were to bill for 45 minutes they would pay a maximum of $75. MY RESPONSE TO POLLYnBADT RE: MY REVIEW ON BBB WEBSITE. Dear Polly B. I talked to your assistant who was very kind in explaining what she had been told by your billing department. After reading your email I gave you the benefit of doubt and researched Blue Cross on the internet. It appears the $75 rates have been a huge controversy. After reading numerous articles it confirms my earlier statement. nHere is a sample: “”Beginning March 1
Blue Cross will pay physical therapists $75 per visit for all treatment
regardless of the duration or type of care provided. The California Physical Therapy Association says PTs will lose as much as 50 percent of their previous fees””. Also
