Sue’s Auto Sales Haverhill Massachusetts

Complaint: he people of Sue’s Auto Sales are complete rip-offs. Let me start from the beginning. We had purchased a vehicle that was a little over 126, 000 miles. It’s a great Honda CRV that looks great. While we were there we had asked the girl that was at the front desk atthe moment to change the Timing belt because it was looking kind ofrusty and it def needed a change. They explained that Honda suggeststhat the timing belt is changed at 105, 000 miles… it should havebeen done before they re-sold the vehicle right? but it wasn’t, so wehad asked them to do it and the girl said, sure no problem, that’s likea 3-4 hr job, it’ll be ready when you come pick up the car!About a month later, the car just breaks down. We take it back to thedealership and the sales guy there, RICH, who happens to be a veryarrogant and rude individual, was the one that took over from here. Helet us know that it was the timing belt that went bad. When wementioned that we had asked for it to be replaced, he said that theydon’t do that there and it was up to us…really? long story short, We ended up having to pay over 2, 000, close to 3,000 to change this timing belt… something that should have been donefree of charge because A. We had asked them to do it before the car waspicked up B. It SHOULD have been done before they re-sold the vehicleand C. We have had the car for less that 90 days. He tried to blame iton the milege, he said that we had put 10, 000 miles on it which wasBULL s**t because it was less than 6, 000 by the time the car waspicked up again…They did fix a few other things, like A/C belt, Water pump, oil change, etc, etc, .so… after d**king us around for about a month, we finally picked upthe car mid june almost july. With 3, 000 more to pay… We put 5, 000down and we would have been done with the payments in July… so fast foward to today…Car starts to leak anti freeze, and needs an oil change. We go takecare of that and ask the mechanic who’s taking care of the vehicle (notSue’s auto sales) to check the car out to make sure everything is ok.The mechanic had said that the water pump needs to be replaced becauseit was put on backwards which means that it’s damaging something insidethe vehicle…yea… so here we go again, Call Rich back up, let him know about theproblem and he starts treating me like crap. He says that he can’t doanything for me until monday and that he doesn’t really trust mydiagnosis. I ask him if this is going to be another month ordeal wherewe have to pay again for something that THEY should have done right andhe tells me that he has no answer for me, he would have to check itout… so this is where we are now…DO NOT SHOP AT SUE’S AUTO SALES! If you ask to speak to the owner hewill never be available. He’s like a ghost. You can only deal w/eitherthe sales guy Rich or the Mechanic, Ed… you’re not allowed to speakwith anyone else.IF YOU DO SHOP THERE make sure that you have the vehicle thorougly inspected by your own trusted mechanic…I know they will probably read this and I know you will know who I am,but I am ready for you to bash on me because that’s how “classy”” youpeople are!DON’T SHOP THERE… JUST BE SAFE!”
