Complaint: I have not forgotten the extremely dishonest service I received at Tim Dahle Nissan even after 4 years, and after having a second bad experience recently with this dealership I feel it is my duty to report this company. Approximatively 4 years ago I had an alternator replaced on a 98′ Infiniti I30 by another service company. A week after the replacement the car began to make rattling noises and I didn’t think that the new part would be the cause. I took the I30 to the Tim Dahle Nissan in Murray service department to have them find out what the problem was. After waiting hours for them to find the ‘problem’, I was presented by a service rep with a list of issues that needed to be resolved. On the list was a line item for an ‘Alternator rebuild’ with a price of only $400. I was shocked to see this and even more shocked when the service rep tried to convince me with all his might that it was extremely necessary for me to get it done. It had only been a week since the old alternator had been replaced with a brand new part and now it needed an expensive rebuild? I had only paid 90$ for the new alternator. We declined the service and took the car back to where we got the new alternator. After dropping the car off, we waited only 30 minutes before getting a call to let us know we could pick it up. To my utter amazement, the only problem with the car was that a single bolt had come loose that helped hold the alternator tight. Tim Dahle Nissan of Murray attempted to charge me over $400 for tightening a single bolt.
