Complaint: I have an Isuzu vehicle. There are a limited amount of Isuzu service departments in Pittsburgh. I called the Isuzu Corporation to find out where to take my vehicle. I was having issues with the gear shift which in turn was causing my key to lock in the ignition. I called Wright Auto who was referred by the Corporation and advised them of my issue and would they be able to look at it. I had the vehicle towed to the location. This was a Friday. I was told they wouldnt be able to look at my vehicle until Monday. They called me Tuesday to tell me they needed to replace my battery because it was unable to hold a charge. Then to call me Weds. and tell me my ignition switch needed replaced and a connector to the gear shift as well. They quoted me a price of about $550. OK fine.. to call me back 2 days later saying that was’nt it and needed to fix something with the sensor to register my vehicle was in park. Now this was my original issue so now Im mad the price has went up another couple hundred dollars. Ok I get this fixed. They had my vehicle for a little over a week. Ok I get my vehicle back and low & behold a week later the ignition is broke completely. It was spinning all the way around. I send the vehicle back out to Wright Auto. This is Friday morning again… I called.. I called…Friday the service department says he is going to have his technician look at my vehicle & he will call me. Monday comes around for him to tell me I have to pay an additional $350 because the ignition houser unit i worn. Hmmm.. So why is this the 1st time that I am hearing about this. Why would you fix one thing & not the other if this is the case. Well we thought the last time since you were doing fine with this one we didnt fix it. But isnt this why I brought my vehicle in to have it fixed. Never did you consult me to say hey this is a problem we need to fix it now or very soon because its not holding the switch. The story has changed several times. They are not trying to accept ownership in this situation. i feel you are trying to get more money out of me; by not fixing my vehicle completely or you messed up and want me to pay. I have tried to talk to the manager about it and no one has returned my calls. He would not put the manager on the phone saying well can I help you. I feel this place is a total ripoff. I have a job, family and don’t have time, or money to have my car sitting in a garage for a total of two weeks for a simple issue and still not working properly. I don’t like to be lied to or talked to like I am a fool. I may not be completely car literate but this is why I come to you as a consumer. Don’t go here if you have another option because they are complete RIPOFFS.
