Complaint: I purchased a 250CC scooter the week before Memorial Day weekend. Received on Thursday before holiday. speedometer cable broke within 10 miles of driving. Took 2 weeks to get a replacement. (after lots of emails and phone calls). Got cable fixed and figured out that the speedometer is way way off. To do 55mph, the speedometer reads 74mph. They did send me a replacement dash cluster of which I cannot read. The background is white and the MPH are yellowish-gold. I still do not have a working speedometer. Then the headlights burned out. I purchased the repair manual so that I knew how to replace them. The manual does not illustrate how to remove the front cowl (faring). I have been trying now for 2 weeks to get assitance from Winston and Ron at YMoto Scooters. They told me on August 8th that they would photograph a cowl and email me. I have not heard from them yet (now August 16th). I have made my frustrations with their customer service and warranty repair stuff known with little or no replies. I have mentioned getting a lawyer involved thinking that they will then reply….the reply is that my lawyer needs to talk to their lawyer and they will not continue to talk to me. I still do not and cannot go and take the driving test to get my motorcycle license because my scooter still is not functioning properly – and is NOT STREET LEGAL. I do have plates and insurance on it, but no motorcycle license (required by Iowa Law to have). Brian Des Moines, IowaU.S.A.
